Dear Tannkosh pilots and crews, dear visitors of Tannkosh 2009,
my dear Team Tannkosh!

Thank you all for your visit and your support!

In spite of the worst weather we ever had during Tannkosh we were happy to welcome over 700 aircraft and thousands of visitors to Tannkosh 2009, which was really unbelievable for us.

We are overwhelmed and grateful that so many pilots and visitors found their way to Tannheim despite catastrophic weather forecasts - many have fought their way through wind and rain (where it was still flyable) to get here, many have been forced by the passing fronts to land at other airfields and then came the rest of the way by rental car - still others decided to come by car from where the weatherforecasts said "not flyable" and spent hours or even days on the road just to celebrate our great party with us...

Thanks a million for being with us, and for being in such a great mood in spite of the rain!
Thanks to all the hard core Tannkosh fans who were not to be discouraged by the weather, you have taken the extreme Woodstock-Feeling with style and good humour...(and the strong crosswinds with good flying skills:-))

And last but by no means least: a heartfelt thank you to our Team Tannkosh!!!
Our "Red Shirts" got soaked more than once, but they held their positions - and it is only thanks to their stamina and enthusiasm that we were able to cover all bases and "keep the show on the road", or rather in the air:-)
