Dear Tannkosh-Pilots and Crews,
Dear visitors,

thank you for being a part of Tannkosh 2008!

Many of you have arrived in between rain showers on thursday and friday, we were very proud and happy to welcome so many of you early on inspite of the "Woodstock" Feeling (already well known to Tannkosh veterans:-)

During thursday and friday we got soaked several times - and by the time our team managed to finish the preparations we were down to the last dry shirt - so we could have done with a bit less rain but overall we were glad that the sun came out to stay on friday afternoon! And we'd like to thank all visitors (and our team of course) that a few raindrops didn't discourage you...
Friday evening came to a perfect end (complete with rainbow and all...) with some amazing flying displays and music and international friendships made...

The beautiful weather on saturday and sunday was a blessing - as well as the heavenly support we had during the whole weekend that kept everyone safe. There were candles lit for us (in our chapel here in Tannheim by Helga, an in a village in Canada by Pete McLeod's mom) - we do believe they helped...
as did, of course, the discipline and professionalism of the Tannkosh - Pilots as well as the experience and nerves of steel our "Tannkosh ATC" displayed.

Therefore the parties were as grand as ever and as one of my orga-team remarked: we haven't worked this much, slept so little or had so much fun in ages!

Congratulations again to our team members Steps and Chris! Ladies and Gentlemen, the charming leading lady of the welcome tent got engaged to our "sound manager" on the speaker tower, Chris, on friday evening during Tannkosh, and nevertheless they both worked during the whole weekend, unbelievable isn't it?
Thanks, guys, and may the spirit of Tannkosh and the happiness we felt stay with you for the rest of your lives together...
