Frankfurt AIS has informed us that they will set up a separate work station just for pilots flying to Tannkosh.
This number is available to close and file flightplans.

PLEASE CLOSE YOUR FLIGHTPLAN as soon as possible after landing. Our flightliners will be happy to assist you in case you should not have a mobile phone with you.

Last year we have had numerous calls from the AIS as well as Search and Rescue looking for aircraft because several flightplans were not closed and no landing times reported. This is quite time consuming for Search and Rescue as well as for us - we had 50 of our flightliners looking for airplanes who had long been safely parked. Please realize that pilots may be billed for unnecessary Search and Rescue Services.

To prevent misunderstandings: we are not able to close your flightplans, each pilot flying in on a flightplan is responsible to phone in his landing time and PLEASE CLOSE YOUR FLIGHTPLANS!

The extra work station in Frankfurt and separate tel. number will enable you to get through to AIS without busy signals.
