Devon for Tannkosh
Julian Firth kam letztes Jahr mit der Pembroke zu Tannkosh 2006 - dieses Jahr kommt er mit diesem Baby:
G-DHDV (military registration VP981) was built by De Havilland at Hatfield in 1954. She served as a VIP transport in 207 Squadron, based at RAF Northolt near London, which is now the home of the Queen's Flight. When 207SQD was disbanded in 1984, VP981 joined the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as a support aircraft for the Lancaster, Spitfires and Hurricanes.
When she retired in 1998 she was one of the oldest aircraft in continuous service for the RAF. She was bought by Air Atlantique at auction that year. In 2000 she flew to Bahrain to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Gulf Air, which used to operate the civilian version (called a Dove).
G-DHDV now operates for Air Atlantique's Classic Flight and can carry up to eight passengers. Her normal cruising speed is 150 knots.
